Senior Claims Director – Non-Life Reinsurance Treaty Claims SCOR Global Property & Casualty (P&C) Claims – London, Paris (MEA), Madrid

About the Role

A senior leadership position within SCOR Global P&C Claims, responsible for directing a complex portfolio of non-life reinsurance treaty claims across key global hubs: London, Paris (MEA), and Madrid.

We seek an experienced claims professional who excels in:

  • Technical depth in complex treaty claims
  • Commercial acumen and strategic judgment
  • Leadership credibility across an international and multifaceted environment

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Oversight

  • Lead and execute significant, high-stakes treaty claims with rigorous governance, including reserving, financial reporting, and client service standards
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in complex market claims, with direct experience in market committees or litigation within specialist disciplines
  • Provide technical direction and ensure alignment across underwriting, actuarial, technical accounting, legal, brokers, and senior management teams

2. Stakeholder & People Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships underwriting partners, actuaries, clients, brokers, and leadership
  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the claims function internally and externally, including media relations, regulatory engagements, and client visits

3. Digital Transformation Support

  • Contribute to the modernisation and digitalisation of claims operations, aligning with emerging technologies and workflows

4. Travel Requirements

  • Expected to travel for:
    • Audits and regulatory check-ups
    • Market committee meetings
    • Client engagements
    • Senior-level stakeholder interactions
