Head of UK Consultant Relations, VP2 | London | Hybrid (four days in the office)

We are looking for an experienced consultant relations professional to lead our UK Consultant Relations team. This is a player-coach role. You will lead the Team and act as the main link between State Street Investment Management (SSIM) and research and portfolio management teams at major consulting firms. It is an excellent next step for an experienced consultant relations manager ready to lead a team.

You will combine investment expertise, strong relationship management skills and team leadership to contribute to our consultant strategy and help generate commercial opportunities. Success will depend on building a close partnership with the investment, sales and client teams across State Street.

The role sits in the Global Client Coverage Group, reports to the Head of UK and Ireland Client Coverage, and works closely with the UK Sales and Strategic Partnerships team.

What you will do

You will:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and deliver the UK consultant relations strategy
  • Build a clear view of consulting firms, their priorities and how they assess managers
  • Own and grow key consultant relationships
  • Present our investment capabilities and solutions to consultants with confidence
  • Keep consultants informed of relevant SSIM developments
  • Work with our sales teams to identify and win opportunities from consultants
  • Collaborate with consultant relations teams across State Street
  • Use consultant feedback to strengthen our products and strategies
  • Lead and develop a team of one consultant manager and two analysts

Experience

Significant experience of institutional investment, ideally in consultant relations or investment consulting

  • Strong knowledge of investment markets, products, and industry trends
  • Deep knowledge of the UK consultant market and manager research process
  • A CFA charter or equivalent investment qualification is preferred
