Head of UK Private Banking Proposition and Products

Location: Bristol, Edinburgh, Hove, Leeds or Manchester
Hours: 35 hours, full time
Working Pattern: Hybrid

Job Description Summary

As a senior member of the UK Private Banking leadership team, the Head of UK Private Banking Proposition and Products is accountable for UK Private Banking proposition and products, this is one of the Group's key growth businesses.

The role is accountable for the end-to-end UK Private Banking proposition, manufactured fiduciary products, influence over Group-manufactured banking and lending products, and ownership of the UKPB P&L.

Combining customer insight, commercial performance, product development, pricing and distribution, the role will create a distinctive proposition for high-net-worth customers and deliver sustainable growth, strong customer outcomes and increased Group value.

What will I be doing?

Proposition Development

  • Own and continuously evolve the UKPB proposition, ensuring it remains differentiated, competitive and aligned to customer needs.
  • Define the proposition roadmap across banking, lending, wealth connectivity, fiduciary services, digital journeys and partnerships.
  • Use customer insight, market intelligence and performance data to find opportunities and prioritise investment.

Product Manufacture and Lifecycle Management

  • Own the design, management and governance of UKPB-manufactured products, including Trusts and Estates.
  • Ensure products remain commercially viable, compliant, resilient and deliver good customer outcomes.

Consumer Division and Group Product Leadership

  • Represent UKPB customer and commercial requirements with Group product manufacturers.
  • Influence product strategy, prioritisation, pricing and governance across banking, savings, payments, mortgage and lending products.

What you’ll need

  • Senior leadership experience in private banking, wealth management, banking propositions or product management.
  • Proven success creating and delivering customer propositions and product strategies.
  • Strong commercial leadership with experience of P&L ownership, pricing and performance management.
  • Deep understanding of product governance, lifecycle management and customer outcomes.
  • Knowledge of banking, lending and wealth-related products, with fiduciary experience advantageous.
  • Experience influencing across complex organisational structures and leading large-scale change.
  • Strong critical thinking, partner management and decision-making capabilities.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
