About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales function across the UK. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong commercial mindset, excellent people management skills, and a proven track record of delivering sales performance in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement the company's sales strategy in line with business objectives.
- Deliver agreed sales, revenue, and margin targets.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
- Establish and maintain KPIs for the sales team.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
Business Development
- Build strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Develop account growth plans for existing customers alongside Sales Team.
- Attend customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and one-to-one meetings.
- Promote collaboration between sales, service, operations, and marketing teams.

Customer Management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Manage relationships with key accounts.
- Find solutions to customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer lifetime value.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Prepare monthly sales reports for senior leadership.
- Monitor sales budgets and expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with company processes and procedures.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in a Sales Manager or Senior Sales role.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing a sales team.
- Commercially focused with excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience within the vehicle wash, equipment, engineering, automotive, or capital equipment sectors.
- Knowledge of route-to-market and dealer/distributor networks.
- Formal sales or management qualifications.
