The Company

A European packaging company with a global footprint, built on a commitment to continuous innovation, technical expertise and a customer base of highly respected brands across food, pharma and medical sectors.

The business now seeks a Head of UK Sales to lead and shape the growth strategy for the UK business unit. Reporting to the UK board you will have an experienced and shrewd commercial mindset coupled with an ambition to grow existing key accounts and maximise new opportunities across the UK.

We are looking for someone who is people led; passionate about developing teams and unlocking the full potential of people, removing barriers that inhibit growth whilst instilling a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

  • Author and implement the UK sales strategy for materials aligned to company strategic objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the sales team; instilling a high-performance culture.
  • Set clear and ambitious objectives for the team; focused on growth in both new and existing customers.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of company proposals.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the business; internally and at external events.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B packaging material sales leadership ideally gained in the food industry.
  • Committed to building long-lasting customer partnerships.
  • People led; passionate about removing barriers and unlocking potential in teams.
  • Fuelled by data-driven decision making.
  • An astute and skilled negotiator with a focus on creating mutually beneficial agreements for company and customer alike.
