Head of Used Equipment

Salary: £80,000 plus package

Location: Midlands

Role Purpose

Lead the used equipment business, maximising asset values, profitability and stock turnover through effective sales, operations and route-to-market management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own sales, margin, profitability and recovery values across used equipment.
  • Develop and manage retail, dealer, trade, export and auction routes to market.
  • Maximise asset recovery values and minimise losses.
  • Own stock levels, ageing, stock turn and days to sale.
  • Ensure efficient movement of assets through inspection, repair, preparation and sale.
  • Lead valuation, pricing and market intelligence, including residual values and disposal timing.
  • Ensure safe, compliant and efficient used equipment operations.
  • Lead and develop the team, with clear KPIs and accountability.
  • Build strong relationships with dealers, trade buyers, exporters and auction partners.
  • Drive process improvement, reporting and operational efficiency.
