The Team

The Value Capture & Integration Office sits within S&P Global Market Intelligence and is responsible for helping the division translate strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes. As MI evolves its structure to support future growth, the team provides focus and discipline around the initiatives that will unlock commercial, operational, and integration value.

The office has three connected pillars: MI Commercial Growth, Value Realization & Transformation, and Program Delivery & Governance. This role leads the Value Realization & Transformation pillar, working closely with Program Delivery & Governance to execute.

The Head of Value Realization & Transformation owns the agenda for identifying, shaping, and prioritizing the initiatives required to deliver business value through integration, transformation, operating model evolution, and synergy capture. The role connects these efforts to commercial outcomes without owning business line commercial strategy, which remains with the relevant commercial strategy leads.

The Impact

Market Intelligence is evolving its operating model to respond more effectively to customer needs through greater focus, accountability, and alignment. This role helps ensure that change is translated into clear priorities, practical choices, and measurable outcomes, including where data, technology, and AI-enabled capabilities can support stronger customer value.

You will provide strategic direction on sequencing, trade-offs, and dependencies across the most important transformation and integration initiatives, ensuring effort is focused on the areas with the greatest potential business impact.

The role is critical to maintaining momentum through the transition, supporting customer outcomes, and helping MI capture the value of its new structure.

Responsibilities

Value Realization & Portfolio Direction

  • Own the division’s value realization agenda, with a clear view of the initiatives required to unlock commercial, operational, and structural value.
  • Translate executive priorities into a focused portfolio of initiatives, including expected outcomes, value drivers, and key dependencies.
  • Provide direction on sequencing, trade-offs, and prioritization so effort is concentrated on the highest-impact opportunities.

Transformation & Synergy Capture

  • Lead strategic transformation work that supports MI’s evolving operating model, integration priorities, and business simplification agenda.
  • Shape transformation and integration opportunities that enable commercial, operational, or structural outcomes, in partnership with the relevant business and commercial strategy owners.
  • Define the value case, expected benefit, timing, risks, and dependencies for priority initiatives.
  • Work with VCO leadership, Program Delivery & Governance, and relevant business owners to move from strategic design to execution readiness, while leaving day-to-day program control and delivery governance with the appropriate owners.

Leadership, Alignment & Change

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Head of Value Capture & Integration, helping convert executive direction into clear priorities, decisions, and plans.
  • Engage MI Commercial Growth and relevant commercial teams outside VCO to understand where transformation can enable growth, reduce friction, or improve customer outcomes.
  • Prepare executive-level recommendations that clarify choices, trade-offs, dependencies, and expected value.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
