About Inovexus
Inovexus is a cross-border acceleration fund and private investment community backing early-stage B2B tech founders with global ambitions. With a network of 2,000+ investors, founders, and mentors across 20+ countries, we provide capital, strategic guidance, and access to international networks, working closely with founders to drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
This role sits at the centre of that mission: you'll own the investment engine end to end, from sourcing to signed deal to on-track portfolio company, and turn it into the fastest, most disciplined deal machine in European venture.
Your Role
As our Head of Ventures, you own one of the most important engines in the business: deal flow and its conversion into funded, on-track investments. You'll run the investment process end to end, sourcing, diligence, IC, close, and portfolio follow-through, and turn a growing pipeline into a repeatable, one-deal-a-week operation. This is a results-first, full-ownership seat across three focus areas:
1️⃣ Own Deal Flow & Investment Conversion
- Take full ownership of the investment engine, from AI-sourced pipeline to signed deal to on-track portfolio company. Time-to-close and conversion are your hard metrics.
- Close the pipeline-to-investment gap: convert the ~4 qualified startups a week into funded deals, driving toward 12 IC-approved, funded deals in 2026 and a one-deal-a-week trajectory.
- Chair the pipeline review and present to IC. Own the quality bar and the pre-IC soft-commit process, once compliance-cleared.
- Make the pipeline reproducible, not reactive: defined stages, real conversion assumptions, a weekly cadence you can defend.
2️⃣ Sourcing Strategy, Diligence & Deal Execution
- Own the four ranked sourcing channels: VC network, VC deal-sharing, qualified startup network, early startup network. Push Specter and Sourcing-AI signal use well past today's 6%.
- Lead valuation, structuring, and negotiation on every deal, in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Compliance.
- Provide senior oversight of the six-month Founders Club acceleration programme (Tom runs day to day), ensuring it demonstrably shortens the path to the next raise.
- Build and hold the relationships that compound: funds, corporates, follow-on investors, and the founders who send us other founders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
3️⃣ Portfolio Health, Team & Compliance
- With the CFO and finance function, own the standard: 60% of portfolio companies on track for their next-round targets, minimum.
- Lead VC associates and the sourcing team, coordinate with the Finance & Portfolio Associate on monitoring, and with IR on demand for deals.
- Turn portfolio wins into proof: case studies and references that support IR and LP conversations.
- Keep every deal and investor-facing artefact inside the PSFP compliance architecture. Raphaël Guiraud's sign-off is a hard gate.
You'll run the pipeline and close the deals yourself, owning the result end to end, and as the model proves out, build and lead the investment function beneath you.
📈 What Success Looks Like
- A pipeline converting predictably against the 2026 target: 12 IC-approved, funded deals and a one-deal-a-week trajectory.
- AI signal utilisation meaningfully above today's 6%, feeding a higher-quality, lower-effort pipeline.
- 60%+ of the portfolio holding on-track status against next-round targets.
- A compliance record with zero exceptions to the PSFP architecture.
🎯 Who We're Looking For
💼 Experience & skills:
- 10+ years in venture capital, corporate venture, or private equity, with a track record owning deal flow and conversion end to end, not just sourcing.
- Demonstrated success leading venture financings or similar transactions; board or board-observer experience a plus.
- Fluent in valuation, structuring, negotiation, and diligence. You write the memo the IC actually reads.
- Established relationships across the venture capital, startup, and investment banking communities.
- Comfortable owning a hard conversion metric and a compliance-first process at the same time.
- Player-coach: you run the deals and build the team that will run them after you.
- Strong analytical depth: you know the difference between a metric and a vanity number, and report the one that's true.
- Excellent communicator, credible with founders, IC members, LPs, and partners.
- Experience in B2B tech or venture environments, ideally with international or cross-border exposure

🚀 Mindset:
- Results-first and ownership-driven, comfortable operating under a hard number with full accountability. Nothing that touches conversion is "not your problem."
- You'd rather kill a weak deal early than nurse it to a bad close.
- Autonomous, structured, and resilient, with a strong bias to action.
- Works in close proximity to sourcing and IR; builds the system behind the scenes and shows up credibly in front of founders and investors.
🎓 Background:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- International experience or a strong interest in working in a multicultural environment.
🗣 Languages:
- Fluent English (C1) required. Other languages (French especially) are a plus.
