About Us
Bolt6 was founded in 2021 by Emmy Award-winning innovators with one goal: to change how the world experiences sport. Today, we deliver more than 2,500 events a year for elite sport around the globe. Our technology brings fans closer to the action, delivers decisions people believe in, and unlocks new revenue for leagues and federations.
What You’ll Do
We're looking for someone to lead video review operations at Bolt6, making sure our technology is deployed and run flawlessly at live events around the world. Working closely with our internal teams, clients and partners, you'll be the driving force behind the accuracy, speed and consistency of every review we deliver, helping us set the standard for officiating technology in live sport.
This role involves regular international travel, with hybrid working in between events. You will also be responsible for:
- Own review quality: Take overall responsibility for the quality of video reviews across every sport Bolt6 delivers, with the largest focus on VAR in football alongside volleyball, tennis and future sports.
- Set the standard: Define what a high-quality review looks like, with clear expectations around accuracy, speed, consistency and communication.
- Operator training: Own the training of all video review operators, ensuring they have the technical knowledge, decision-making skills and confidence required to deliver fast, high-quality reviews.
- Ongoing coaching and development: Run regular review and improvement sessions with operators, using real examples from live events to identify improvements and continually raise standards.
- Communication quality: Set and maintain high standards for operator communication during reviews, ensuring communication with officials is clear, concise, confident and professional.
- Operator assessment and sign-off: Develop a clear process for assessing operators and determining when they are ready to work independently on live events.
- Performance monitoring: Regularly assess operator performance across accuracy, review speed, communication and adherence to processes, identifying both high performers and areas requiring additional development.
- Post-event review: Establish a consistent process for reviewing performance after events, including analysing difficult reviews, mistakes, unusually long reviews and examples of excellent performance.
- Incident analysis: Lead the investigation of reviews that fall below the required standard, identify the root cause and ensure lessons result in improvements to training, processes or technology.
- Continuous improvement: Continually challenge how reviews are carried out and identify opportunities to make them faster, simpler and more reliable without compromising accuracy.
- Build a feedback culture: Create an environment where operators actively review their own performance, learn from each other and are comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Consistency across operators: Make sure the quality of the service does not depend on which operator is working, with clear processes and standards that produce consistent performance across the team.
- Cross-sport standards: Develop common video review principles across football, volleyball and tennis while adapting training and processes to the specific requirements of each sport.
- Maintain procedures and training material: Own and continuously update review procedures, training materials, examples and best-practice guidance so operators always have a clear source of truth.
- Scenario training: Develop training around difficult, unusual and high-pressure scenarios so operators are prepared for situations they may rarely encounter during live events.
- Live support and escalation: Act as the senior point of escalation for challenging reviews and support operators and operational teams during major events when required.
- Product and technology feedback: Work closely with Product and Technology teams to identify improvements to the review tools, interfaces and workflows that could improve operator performance.
- Scaling review operations: Make sure Bolt6 can maintain the same standard of review as the number of competitions, operators, sports and territories grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
