What we’re looking for…

As Head of Warehouse Operations, you will lead our site warehousing infrastructure, drive operational excellence, and shape a high-performing supply chain culture at our Cumbernauld site!

Reporting directly to the Site Director, this pivotal leadership role oversees our entire wholesale, retail, and rework warehousing functions, along with close collaboration with the logistics teams. If you are a strategic, results-oriented leader who can balance operational rigour with long-term change, drive cross-functional collaboration, and inspire a multi-layered team in a high-growth FMCG environment - this is the opportunity for you.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Executive Oversight: Lead and develop the site warehousing function, managing shift leaders and multi-layered teams across wholesale, retail, and rework operations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture as a key priority across all shift operations and warehouse activities.
  • Financial Control: Manage and control agreed operational budgets, driving efficiency across labour costs, facilities, and cost-per-pallet metrics.
  • Supply Chain Alignment: Collaborate closely with Logistics and Production to manage site throughput capacity whilst ensuring production lines continue to run to meet volume demands.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Partner with Logistics teams to maintain exceptionally high standards of service for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement & Change: Lead major site project teams, driving change agendas and leveraging CI methodologies to deliver business benefits.
  • Site Leadership: Sit on the Site Leadership Team, fostering cross-functional collaboration with Commercial and Operations to unlock logistics opportunities.

What you’ll bring...

The successful candidate will have;

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale warehousing and logistics operations within a complex FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Deep technical proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technologies (e.g., voice picking or automated storage & retrieval).
  • Proven track record of strategic financial management and controlling multi-million-pound operating budgets with full cost-centre accountability.
  • Strong leadership capability in organisational change, CI culture, and building resilient, high-performing teams through coaching.
  • Superior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, capable of communicating effectively from the shop floor to executive board level.

And it would also be great if you can demonstrate:

  • Strong IT agility and a track record of rapidly adapting to new enterprise software and operational tech.
  • Exceptional agility to think on your feet, solving complex supply chain problems dynamically under pressure.
