Shape the Future of Wastewater Infrastructure

At South West Water, we're investing in the resilience, performance, and sustainability of our wastewater network like never before. We're looking for a strategic and data-driven Head of Wastewater Asset Health to lead our understanding of asset condition across a diverse and critical wastewater portfolio.

This is a rare opportunity to influence how we assess, monitor, and prioritise investment in assets that serve millions of customers and protect the environment across the South West.

Due to the nature of the role and the need to build strong relationships across the business, regular presence in our Exeter office is required.

What You'll Be Doing

As Head of Wastewater Asset Health, you will lead the development of our asset health strategy, ensuring we have a clear understanding of the condition, performance, and risk profile of key wastewater assets across the region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
