Head of Workday Product Development
Focus on WD are seeking a Head of Workday Product Development to define and manage the product strategy, build a scalable portfolio of Workday solutions, embed AI across the product lifecycle, and create a commercially successful product business within the Workday ecosystem.
This is a strategic leadership role for someone who combines deep Workday knowledge, product innovation, commercial expertise, and technical credibility with the ability to build high-performing teams and deliver market-leading products.

Key Deliverables
- Establish a recognised Workday Products & AI practice.
- Deliver a portfolio of successful products to the Workday Marketplace.
- Build a scalable product development capability underpinned by AI.
- Create an end-to-end product development framework that enables rapid, high-quality delivery.
- Secure flagship customers and early adopters to validate and refine product offerings.
- Develop a sustainable product support and continuous improvement model.
- Build and grow a high-performing specialist team.
- Position the practice as a trusted innovation partner within the Workday ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience
- Build, lead, and scale a Workday Products & AI practice.
- Define and execute a product strategy focused on scalable, repeatable IP and AI-enabled solutions.
- Identify market opportunities and product gaps across the Workday ecosystem.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle—from concept, validation, and business case through to development, launch, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.
- Embed AI into product development to accelerate innovation, quality, and delivery.
- Develop strong commercial relationships, supporting product sales, customer engagement, and strategic growth.
- Build and mentor a high-performing product and engineering team.
- Establish robust product governance, delivery processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Build influential relationships across the Workday ecosystem, including Product, Alliances, and Technology teams.
- Act as a recognised thought leader for Workday Products and AI.
Personal Aptitudes & Background
The successful candidate will be an experienced product and technology leader with a proven track record of building and scaling enterprise software or Workday product businesses. You should have a proven track record of combining strategic vision with commercial acumen and are equally comfortable shaping product strategy as you are driving execution. You will need to be able to clearly articulate the product journeys you have led—from identifying market opportunities and validating concepts, through business case development, investment planning, budget ownership, delivery, commercialisation, and measuring return on investment.

- Proven experience leading Workday products, technology, or consulting practices.
- Experience developing, launching, and scaling enterprise software or IP-led products.
- Strong commercial mindset with ownership of product business cases, investment decisions, budgets, and commercial performance.
- Demonstrable success taking products from concept through to market launch and ongoing product growth.
- Experience embedding AI into product development or digital solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and business development skills.
- A passion for innovation, product excellence, and building high-performing teams.
