About PYRO

A celebration of cooking over fire, PYRO is a bold, 95-cover restaurant in the heart of Borough from ex-HIDE Head Chef Yiannis Mexis. Showcasing refined Greek flavours, seasonal produce, and a laid-back, warm and friendly energy, PYRO is all about food to linger over and service that feels like home. With our large outdoor terrace and garden bar at the centre of our operations, we are looking for an exceptional lead presence to own our front-of-house arrival experience.

The Role

The Head Receptionist is the first and last point of contact, and the person who sets the standard for everyone on the desk. You will lead and develop the reception team, conduct the dining room, manage the flow of the restaurant, and ensure every arrival feels like a homecoming.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Alongside running service, you will own the systems that keep reception sharp: training completion, daily and weekly checklists, function sheets, and the reservations inbox. This is a floor-focused role, so your attention stays on the desk, the team, and the guest.

We need someone who can handle a fast-paced service with grace, intelligence, and a genuine smile, and who can hold a team to that same standard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
