Medivet Bisley is growing and we’re looking for an experienced RVN to step into a Head Veterinary Nurse role and play a major part in what comes next.
With a new Partner now in practice to lead, support and develop the team, this is an exciting time to join Bisley. You’ll work closely with our new Partner to help develop the team, improve the day-to-day running of the practice and maintain an environment where excellent patient care and a positive team culture go hand in hand.
As Head Veterinary Nurse, you’ll be an important part of the practice leadership team.
You’ll support and develop our nursing colleagues, help maintain high clinical standards and contribute to the smooth running and continued development of the practice.
As part of Medivet’s hub-and-spoke model, Bisley combines the close-knit feel and continuity of a local practice with access to the resources of our nearby 24-hour hospital in Wokingham.

You’ll also spend an 8-hour shift at our Wokingham 24-hour hospital every fourth weekend, alternating between Saturdays and Sundays, as well as participating in the hospital’s on-call rota.
A £1000 sign on bonus is offered with this role to the successful candidate.

About You
You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a confident leader with experience of getting the best out of every colleague.

What You’ll Be Doing
Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
- Deliver exceptional care to your clients
- Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team
