Leadership Opportunity Across Two Thriving Practices
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our leadership team as our much-loved Head Vet prepares to relocate overseas in the next year. We want to recruit now to provide ample time to settle into the role.
This is a rare chance to step into an established and respected leadership role across two successful and growing Cambridge practices, with Partnership Opportunity in the future, for the right candidate.
We are looking for a clinical leader who wants to shape the future of our teams, support the development of colleagues, and help us continue our mission of bringing outstanding veterinary care and advanced procedures into the first-opinion setting.
About Us
Together, our practices comprise:
- 9 Veterinary Surgeons
- 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- Dedicated support teams
- Certificate holders across multiple disciplines
- Strong leadership and management support
At Bar Hill we have developed advanced endoscopy and endosurgery services that attract cases from surrounding practices, alongside a busy first-opinion caseload.
Our vision is to bridge the gap between first-opinion and referral practice by offering more advanced diagnostics and treatments at accessible prices, whilst maintaining continuity of care for patients and clients.

The Role
This position will be split between our Bar Hill and Beehive practices, providing strategic and clinical leadership across both sites.
You will work closely with the Practice Owner and senior leadership team to:
- Lead and inspire a team of veterinary professionals
- Maintain high clinical standards
- Mentor and support veterinary colleagues
- Drive clinical excellence and continuous improvement
- Help shape future service development
- Support recruitment, retention and team engagement
- Promote a positive, collaborative culture
This is a genuine leadership role where your ideas and influence will help determine the future direction of the business.
Clinical Opportunities
Alongside a varied first-opinion caseload, you'll have access to:
- Advanced imaging
- Flexible and rigid endoscopy
- Laparoscopic surgery
- Referral-level procedures
- Purpose-built facilities
A particular interest in endoscopy or endosurgery would be welcomed, although it is not essential. Full support and training can be provided for candidates interested in developing these skills.

You might already be a Head Vet, Senior Vet or experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next challenge.
