Head Waiter / Head Waitress

Sloane Square, Chelsea, London

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Waiter / Head Waitress to join the front-of-house team at a stylish, high-performing restaurant in the heart of Sloane Square.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves delivering exceptional hospitality, enjoys mentoring others and takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences. You'll play a key role in ensuring every service runs seamlessly while supporting and inspiring the wider team.

The Role

As Head Waiter / Head Waitress, you will lead your section with confidence, delivering attentive, knowledgeable and personalised service to every guest. You'll work closely with the management team to uphold the highest standards of hospitality while supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional service throughout lunch and dinner
  • Leading your section with confidence and professionalism
  • Welcoming guests and creating a warm, memorable dining experience
  • Providing knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations
  • Supporting, coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Ensuring tables are prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Handling guest requests and feedback with confidence and care
  • Working closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams to ensure seamless service
  • Maintaining excellent product knowledge, including food, wine and seasonal menus
  • Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience as a Head Waiter / Head Waitress, Senior Waiter or Senior Server within a quality restaurant
  • Is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Has excellent food and beverage knowledge, with an interest in wine
  • Leads by example and enjoys supporting the development of others
  • Is calm, organised and thrives in a busy service environment
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes pride in attention to detail and consistently high standards
  • Brings warmth, professionalism and personality to every shift
