Les 110 de Taillevent London is a French restaurant located in central London, just minutes from Oxford Street and Regent Street. Inspired by the Michelin two-star restaurant Taillevent in Paris, it offers both classic and modern French dishes accompanied by expertly paired wines by the glass. Guests can choose from 110 wines by the glass and an award-winning wine list of over 1,300 bins, served in a modern dining room or on the al fresco terrace. The restaurant welcomes guests for lunch, dinner, drinks, and private parties from Monday to Friday. The team is focused on delivering refined service and is regularly seeking new talent to support its growth and success.

Role Description

The Head Waiter role is a part-time, on-site position based at Les 110 de Taillevent in London. The Head Waiter oversees the guest experience, greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, and guiding them through food and wine selections with a strong understanding of French cuisine and the wine list.

  • Supervising service in the dining room and terrace
  • Coordinating with kitchen and bar teams
  • Ensuring smooth table turnover
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Taking and delivering orders
  • Managing special requests
  • Handling guest feedback
  • Supporting training and mentoring of waiting staff

The Head Waiter also helps with opening and closing procedures, reservation coordination, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and effective Communication, with the ability to build rapport and manage guest expectations.
  • Solid Food & Beverage and Food Service experience, ideally in an upscale or fine dining environment with knowledge of French cuisine and wine service.
  • Basic Cooking knowledge or familiarity with culinary terminology to accurately describe dishes and collaborate with the kitchen team.
  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Supervisor, or senior front-of-house team member in a restaurant setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and remain calm under pressure during busy services.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a professional, polished presentation.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene standards; relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Right to work in the UK; proficiency in English is required, and additional language skills, especially French, are beneficial.
