Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Waiter to join the team at The Savill Garden Kitchen, Windsor Great Park.

Situated within The Savill Garden Visitor Centre, Savill Kitchen includes a large and energetic restaurant and three cafés. We serve a seasonal menu featuring British classics and locally sourced ingredients, with a strong focus on delivering warm, friendly and memorable hospitality.

As Head Waiter, you will play a key role in leading the restaurant floor and supporting the management team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on position for someone who loves hospitality, leads by example and takes pride in great service.

  • Rate: £15.50 per hour + tips
  • Shifts: 3-5 days out of 7 / Weekends
  • Contract: Full Time / Part Time

About the role:

  • Leading the restaurant floor during busy services and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Delivering exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable service to every guest
  • Supporting, coaching and motivating the waiting team
  • Allocating sections and supporting the organisation of the restaurant floor
  • Taking orders and serving food and drinks to a high standard
  • Developing strong menu and product knowledge and confidently sharing this with guests
  • Working closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure an efficient service
  • Handling guest feedback professionally and supporting the resolution of any issues
  • Ensuring restaurant standards, cleanliness and presentation are maintained at all times
  • Supporting the management team with team briefings and the training of new team members
  • Ensuring food safety and health and safety standards are followed at all times

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous waiting experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.

Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter or in a supervisory Front of House role would be an advantage.

You will be confident leading from the floor, supporting a team and maintaining high service standards during busy periods.

A genuine passion for food, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences is essential.

Most importantly, you will be a positive team player with great communication skills, a hands-on approach and the confidence to lead by example.


Employment Type: Perm.

Salaried Working Pattern: Full-time 5 Days Out of 7

Compensation: from GBP 15.50 - weekly
