THE TEAM

You will join the Food and Beverage team at Rosewood London, working closely with the Outlet Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager. You will help lead the restaurant floor, support waiters and commis waiters, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on attentive service, teamwork and memorable guest experiences.

YOUR ROLE

As Head Waiter, you will help ensure the outlet operates efficiently while delivering warm and genuine service with passion and dedication. You will lead your assigned section, support the performance and development of the team, manage guest relationships and help maintain a smooth service through preparation, knowledge and adaptability.

When required, you will assume responsibility for the restaurant floor in the absence of the management team, ensuring that service standards and guest expectations are consistently upheld.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Lead your assigned section and ensure waiters and commis waiters are prepared, supported and delivering consistently high standards.
  • Provide attentive, knowledgeable and engaging service while building genuine rapport with guests.
  • Follow the restaurant’s Order of Service, Standard Operating Procedures and opening and closing requirements.
  • Respond promptly to guest enquiries, preferences and complaints, involving management when appropriate and helping turn challenges into positive experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of preparation, cleanliness and presentation across tables, stations, equipment and service areas.
  • Support service briefings, training and clear communication with the management team, sharing guest preferences and operational issues promptly.

  • You are passionate about providing warm, genuine and highly attentive guest service.
  • You can confidently lead a restaurant section and support colleagues during busy service periods.
  • You communicate professionally and establish positive relationships with guests and team members.
  • You are comfortable responding to guest concerns with discretion, courtesy and efficiency.
  • You bring strong food and beverage knowledge and can provide clear, engaging answers to menu and drinks enquiries.
  • You are organised, adaptable and committed to maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness, confidentiality and workplace safety.
