About The Role
Pertemps Warrington seeks an experienced Heading Setter for a full-time, temporary ongoing position in Warrington (WA1 4QT). Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the successful candidate will set and operate three heading machines within the structural heading department, working a three-shift rotation that includes nights. Duties include performing quality inspection checks, running various machines, producing a wide range of items, and maintaining correct MOS speeds at 75% efficiency. The role also involves SAP transactions for wire consumption and batch confirmations, plus accurate reporting. Strong machine-setting skills, attention to detail, and shift flexibility are essential. Pay is up to £18.36 per hour.

A specialist in precision engineering is seeking an experienced Heading Setter.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor
You will be responsible for setting and running a complement of 3 heading machines within the structural heading department.
Your Duties Will Be
- Performing all necessary quality inspection checks.
- Ability to run a number of different machines.
- Making a wide variety of different products.
- Maintaining the correct MOS speeds at an efficiency of 75%.
- Performing SAP transactions in relation to wire consumption and batch confirmations.
- Responsible for the accurate reporting of all data relative to the job role.
- Ensuring all Company and legislative requirements for EHS matters are always maintained.
- Responsible for the quality of work they produce.
The Successful Heading Setter Will Have the Following Skills and Experience:-
- 'Time-Served Engineer' with mechanical knowledge, understanding, and background.
- HNC in an engineering discipline is desired but a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (or a willingness to work towards one) is essential.
- Working off your own initiative and having a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Capable and able to demonstrate the reading of product drawings.
- Capable and able to use mechanical measuring equipment such as shadow graphs, Micrometres, various gauges, and Vernier Callipers.
- Work well on your own initiative and without direct supervision.
- Flexible and 'can-do' approach to the job.

Shift Pattern
Successful candidates must be flexible to work a 3-shift rotating pattern:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
