Location: Hillside Primary School, Ipswich, Suffolk

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Leadership L18 - L24 £78,702 - £91,158 FTE

Hillside Primary School is seeking a Headteacher with the vision, integrity, and determination to lead a school community where achievement, belonging, and opportunity go hand in hand. As part of the Active Learning Trust, this role offers the chance to combine strong, purposeful leadership with the power of collaboration across a wider family of schools. We are looking for someone who can inspire and develop others, maintain an uncompromising commitment to safeguarding and pupil success, and translate ambitious ideas into meaningful outcomes for children. With staff development, community partnership, and continuous improvement at its heart, this is a role with both impact and purpose.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive high standards of achievement, behaviour, attendance, and pupil wellbeing.
  • Ensure safeguarding remains central to all aspects of school life and fulfil designated safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Lead, develop, and hold staff accountable for delivering excellent teaching and learning.
  • Oversee curriculum, resources, and finances to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, governors, the Trust, and the wider community to support continuous school improvement.
