Toll Bar Primary School

Job Advert: Headteacher

Start date: April 2027 or earlier

Contract type: Full time, Permanent

Reporting to: Governing Body

The governors, staff, parents and pupils of Toll Bar Primary School are looking to recruit an exceptional and forward-thinking leader, who will guide our welcoming and happy school into the next phase of development.

Toll Bar Primary is a LA maintained school catering for 185 pupils aged 3-11. We are proud of our inclusive ethos with a diverse heritage. We are focused on all children achieving their full potential to become rounded and responsible global citizens ready for the next phase in their education. Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do.

The Governors Are Seeking To Appoint a Headteacher Who

  • Can lead by example - with integrity, creativity, resilience, and objectivity;
  • Is committed to supporting all staff through quality professional development;
  • Is able to provide clear and caring leadership with the ability to enthuse and bring out the best in everyone;
  • Is a visible and approachable leader;
  • Is passionate about inclusion;

  • Are a forward thinking and creative individual who can help develop a clear and confident future educational direction for the school;
  • Can build strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community;
  • Is committed to working collaboratively with partners, other schools;
  • Can maintain our safe, calm and well-ordered environment, focused on safeguarding pupils.
