We are currently working exclusively with an established rehabilitation charity to recruit a new Health and Safety Advisor to the business. This is a home-based role visiting sites around the North of England – offering you a lot of freedom, autonomy, and promoting a positive work-life balance. The focus of this position is to support sites to prepare for external audits and maintain a high level of safety and compliance.
Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced safety team. In this role you will:
- Visit sites around the Northern region approximately twice a month in preparation for external ISO 45001 audits.
- Provide health and safety guidance and advice to management and staff through site visits and remote support.
- Ensure all health and safety processes and policies are in place and compliant with legislation, best practice, and business strategies.
- Review safety reporting and provide regular reports on health and safety statistics and performance to management, giving recommendations on areas of focus.
- Monitor reported incidents, supporting management and leading on investigations where appropriate.
Apply for this role if you have:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work remotely and autonomously.
- Previous experience in a similar field (charity, care, NHS, local government, support services) is highly desirable.
- Understanding or experience of auditing and management systems.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites around the Northern region.
