Health & Safety Advisor – Fit Out Projects (London)
Location: London (site-based with 1 day per week from home)
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 + travel expenses + company bonus
About the Company
Our client is a well-established and growing fit out contractor delivering high-quality projects across London. Their portfolio spans a wide range of Cat A and Cat B fit out schemes, working with leading clients across commercial spaces. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for excellence, they are now looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor to join the team. The Role
As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will work alongside the Head of Health and Safety across multiple fit out projects within London. This is a hands-on, site-focused position, working closely with project teams to maintain the highest safety standards while ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. You will primarily be based out of the London office, with flexibility to work from home to complete administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring health & safety standards are met across multiple live fit out projects
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ensure full compliance with UK H&S legislation and company policies
- Support project teams with method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across all levels
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as required

About You
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor (or similar) within construction or fit out environments
- Knowledge of Cat A / Cat B fit out processes (highly desirable)
- NEBOSH qualification (General or Construction Certificate minimum)
- Excellent understanding of current UK health & safety legislation
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence
