Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Officer
About the Role
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT), a Specialist Mental Health and Community NHS Foundation Trust in the North West, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
The post holder will manage and monitor Health and Safety across the Trust and be responsible for ensuring that Trust sites meet all statutory health and safety requirements.
- Compliance with Health and Safety Legislation: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, supported by suitable policies and procedures linking into Trust Management arrangements.
- Environmental Risk Assessments: Undertake completion of Environmental Risk Assessments, Ligature Audits, Compliance Audits.
- Training and Support: Provide training and general support in relation to all aspects of health and safety.
- Safe Environment: Provide a safe environment for Service Users, Staff, and Visitors.
- Incident Management: Manage risks on behalf of the department, oversee incidents, be a key point of contact Trust-wide, and lead on reacting to incidents, as well as developing and implementing prevention strategies.
