About the Role
Our Head Office department is in the heart of Piccadilly and occupies the 5th & 6th floor of our beautiful flagship store. This central London location offers so much to explore including restaurants, bars, cultural sites, shopping and more, and only a short walk from the Green Park Tube Station and plenty of bus stops.
Fortnum & Mason is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at our iconic Piccadilly store. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a positive health and safety culture across our London sites, ensuring compliance with legislation while supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional who holds a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Health & Safety, highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships across the business and driving a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility. As a NEBOSH-qualified Health & Safety professional with at least two years' experience, you will bring the confidence and expertise to provide practical guidance, support operational teams and help continuously improve Health & Safety standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site audits and inspections, tracking and monitoring corrective actions.
- Maintain Health & Safety equipment and provisions across sites.
- Work with departments across the business to embed Health & Safety best practices into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Coordinate Health & Safety contractor visits and associated administration.
- Deliver Health & Safety training and guidance to colleagues.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate, report and escalate Health & Safety concerns where appropriate.
- Write and review risk assessments across departments and locations.
- Support compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
Key Skills
Essential
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.
- Experience providing practical Health & Safety advice across a business.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- First Aid qualification, or willingness to become a First Aider.
- Ability to work independently and travel between London sites.
