Health and Safety Advisor (CDM Principal Designer)

We are hiring for our client, one of Northern Ireland's largest independent multi-disciplinary consultancies, employing architects, engineers, project managers, environmental scientists, and health and safety professionals. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their established team, fulfilling CDM Principal Designer and Health & Safety Advisor duties across projects in NI, GB, and ROI.

The Role:

  • Provide professional H&S support and advice to design teams, clients, and contractors
  • Conduct site visits and hazard/risk appraisals
  • Lead design reviews and coordinate health and safety risk management
  • Compile pre-construction information and health and safety files
  • Review construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Conduct site compliance inspections and prepare reports
  • Collaborate across the wider health and safety team

The Person:

  • Degree educated with H&S qualification / NEBOSH
  • 2+ years' experience, ideally in a construction / design environment
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Full driving licence, willing to travel across NI, GB, and ROI
  • CDM / PSDP training and professional membership (APS, IOSH, IIRSM) desirable
