Are you a dedicated safety professional looking to make a significant impact on major infrastructure projects? We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's team. This is a critical role responsible for driving the highest standards of safety, guidance, and coaching across complex construction and tunnelling environments. We are looking for a candidate who is available immediately to support our project goals through December 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert Health and Safety advice and coaching to project teams to maintain an Injury:Free Environment.
  • Ensure full project compliance with the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) and all statutory provisions.
  • Manage the Health and Safety competence matrix and deliver comprehensive site inductions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Lead accident/incident investigations and ensure timely communication of findings.
  • Undertake assurance inspections on-site and maintain liaison with trade contractors, designers, and external stakeholders.
  • Support business development by completing PQQs and tender enquiries when required.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Construction/Facilities Health and Safety, specifically with concrete structures, steel erection, and drainage.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum) and Chartered status as a consultant.
  • Proven experience working on tunnel projects, with slurry or variable density TBM experience considered a significant advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of behavioral safety.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) is desirable.
