Regional Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor
Multiple Opportunities Across the UK
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle or £5,000 Car Allowance (Package up to £60,000)
Location: Regional opportunities across the UK
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday-Friday |
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisors to join a leading organisation delivering construction and facilities management projects across a diverse range of sectors.
These are regional positions, with each Advisor responsible for supporting projects within a designated geographical area. Working closely with operational teams, project managers, subcontractors and clients, you'll provide practical Health & Safety guidance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in accordance with current legislation.
This is a site-based, boots-on-the-ground role where you'll be a visible presence across live sites, promoting a positive safety culture and supporting operational teams with practical advice and guidance.

The North Thames / Central and South Thames regions typically support a higher volume of construction projects, while the Wales & West region delivers a varied mix of construction and facilities management works.

- North Thames / Central Region – Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance. HMP Clearance may also be required for some projects.
- South Thames Region – Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance. HMP Clearance may also be required for some projects.
- Wales & West Region – SC Clearance is not typically required, although additional security vetting may occasionally be necessary depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical Health, Safety & Environmental advice across construction and facilities management projects.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
- Review RAMS, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and current Health & Safety legislation.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across operational teams.
- Support Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors with Health & Safety best practice.
- Deliver toolbox talks and informal coaching where required.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
- Prioritise site visits based on project risk and operational requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys working closely with site teams and building strong working relationships across multiple projects.

Essential
- Minimum of 5 years' practical Health & Safety experience within construction or facilities management.
- Demonstrable experience working within a CDM environment.
- Strong site-based ("boots-on-the-ground") Health & Safety experience.
- IOSH Membership or equivalent.
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Level 6 highly desirable).
- Excellent knowledge of current UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout your allocated region.
Desirable
- Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
- CMIOSH status.
- Experience working across multiple construction sectors.
- Experience supporting projects within live operational environments.
