Are you passionate about health and safety and confident advising and influencing teams at all levels? Do you have strong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and food safety? If yes, our Health & Safety Advisor position might be the right next move for you.
This role will involve regional travel across the South of England.
Your Purpose
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will support Travelodge hotels and operational teams to ensure we operate safely, effectively and in line with company policies, legislation and relevant standards. You will promote a positive risk management culture, providing advice, coaching and support across your region.
Your Strengths
You will be responsible for advising Hotel Managers, Area Operations Managers and Regional Directors on health & safety matters, carrying out audits, investigations and proactive support visits, and working with enforcement authorities where required. You will investigate all accidents and incidents and will be responsible for submitting all those that are RIDDOR-reportable. You will deliver health & safety, fire safety and food safety training, support hotels following failed audits and help teams implement corrective action plans.

In addition you will support new hotel openings, provide advice on safety and compliance, work closely with Operations, Maintenance, People and Finance teams, produce clear reports and share best practice. You will also support the implementation of Travelodge’s Working Safe system, contribute to health & safety projects and become the in-house expert for an identified health & safety priority area.
You will need strong influencing and communication skills, excellent organisation and reporting abilities, and the confidence to work independently while collaborating with teams across the business. A full driving licence and flexibility to travel, including occasional overnight stays, are essential.
