At DHL Supply Chain, safety is more than a priority, it's at the heart of everything we do. As our Health & Safety Business Partner supporting the BACC operation at Heathrow Airport, you'll play a pivotal role in driving a proactive safety culture within a fast-paced aviation environment. Working closely with operational teams, customers, airport stakeholders and senior leaders, you'll influence safe ways of working, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance across the site.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to make a visible impact within a complex and highly regulated operation. You'll use data and insight to drive continuous improvement, build strong relationships across the business, and lead positive change that keeps safety at the forefront of everything we do. We're looking for someone who can confidently influence stakeholders at all levels, take ownership of safety performance, and help shape a culture where people, compliance and operational excellence go hand in hand.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Leading, coaching and influencing safety colleagues and operational teams, both directly and indirectly, to achieve shared safety objectives.
- Building strong relationships with operational leaders, customers, airport authorities, and other key stakeholders to drive a positive safety culture.
- Leading and supporting the implementation of the site's Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with aviation and UK safety regulations.
- Analysing safety performance data, identifying trends, and developing improvement plans to reduce risk and enhance operational performance.
- Conducting investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses, completing root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are delivered.
- Carrying out audits, inspections and risk assessments while supporting compliance across all operational activities.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification) and have a solid Health & Safety background.
- Enjoy working with data, identifying trends and turning insight into practical safety improvements.
- Are confident building relationships and influencing people at all levels of an organisation.
- Thrive on accountability and take ownership for driving safety performance and compliance standards.
- Have experience leading, coaching or managing teams, both through direct management and stakeholder influence.
- Bring experience from logistics, operational, manufacturing, aviation or similarly regulated environments, with aviation experience being advantageous but not essential

To obtain a full airside ID, you must:
- Be able to provide five years' address history
- Be able to provide five years' reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
- Pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
