Health and Safety Director

We are supporting a global leader in real estate and facilities management to recruit a Health and Safety Director, focusing on delivering global Assurance and Governance. This pivotal role involves leading the development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE management system framework, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture across the organisation, as well as delivering to its customers.
The key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining the organisation's global HSE management system aligned with international standards, including ISO accreditations.
- Monitoring and analysing HSE metrics and KPIs to track performance trends and identify areas of improvement on a strategic, global scale.
- Leading internal assurance activities, including audits and incident investigations, to embed best practices.
- Leading the delivery of regulatory compliance, changes, and M&A activities with detailed due diligence.
- Collaborating with global teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure consistent HSE standards across regions.
- Delivery commercial goals for the team, with involvement on bids for new business and tender closes.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Robust knowledge of international HSE standards, regulations, and management systems experience, with credible examples when asked.
- True global experience with international travel, not just delivering projects remotely.
- Extensive experience leading global HSE strategies within complex, dynamic organisations.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and audit management skills.
- NEBOSH Diploma qualified (equivalent) and a Certified IOSH membership as a minimum.
