Health and Safety Lead

Location: UK-wide, with regular travel across UK and Ireland operational and customer locations

Reports to: Head of QRC UKI

About The Role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Health and Safety Lead to support the operational delivery of our UKI Health and Safety strategy and management system. Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide practical advice, assurance and support to teams across Sales, Service, Rental, field-based and office functions, helping to embed safe and compliant working practices across the business.

This is a hands-on role where you will support managers in identifying and controlling workplace risks, undertaking site assurance activities, reviewing risk assessments, supporting incident investigations and monitoring corrective actions. You will play an important part in strengthening operational ownership of health and safety and promoting a positive safety culture across Arjo UKI.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the UKI Health and Safety strategy and objectives.
  • Provide practical H&S advice and guidance to operational managers and employees.
  • Conduct planned H&S inspections, audits and site visits across UKI operations.
  • Support the completion and review of risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Conduct and support investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • Monitor corrective actions from incidents, audits, inspections and risk assessments through to completion.
  • Analyse H&S data to identify trends, recurring issues and emerging risks.
  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the H&S management system, including ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Deliver or coordinate H&S training, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Promote proactive hazard, near-miss and incident reporting across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
