About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Lead to join our growing team. As a specialist contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across London, safety is at the heart of everything we do.
This is a hands-on role responsible for driving our health and safety culture, ensuring compliance across multiple live sites, and working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain the highest standards of safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Support project teams with planning safe systems of work and resolving health and safety issues.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing health and safety training.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and ensure standards are consistently maintained.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, principal contractors, and regulatory bodies where required.
- Provide guidance to senior management on health and safety performance, trends, and improvements.
- Support the continuous development of company policies, procedures, and management systems.

About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, approachable, and passionate about creating safe working environments. You will have experience working within construction and understand the challenges of delivering fit-out and refurbishment projects in occupied buildings and live environments.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
- Experience working on commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum).
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with site teams and subcontractors.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Membership of IOSH (GradIOSH or CMIOSH).
- Experience with ISO 45001 management systems.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience working across multiple live construction sites.
