Job Type

Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking for a new challenge within the construction industry?

D7 Recruitment is working with an established health and safety organisation operating across the UK and Europe to recruit two HSE Managers for projects in the North West of England.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of health and safety on live construction projects, work closely with clients and contractors, and make a genuine difference to how safety is managed on site.

We're looking for practical, approachable professionals who can build strong relationships, influence site teams and support safe project delivery.

The Role

As an HSE Manager, you will oversee health and safety arrangements across live construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

You'll work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to provide practical advice, manage risks and promote a positive safety culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
