Health & Safety Manager – Major Civils / Rail Infrastructure

Location: London & Project Sites

We have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join an established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in London, alongside other water and utilities schemes across the region.

You’ll be joining a 12-strong Health & Safety team, including two Regional Leads, within a financially stable business with secured frameworks and a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects.

A key focus of the role will be a major multi-million-pound civils project involving the construction of new sewer infrastructure, with works interfacing with DLR, London Underground, and Jubilee line infrastructure.

You’ll spend approximately three days per week on the main London project, with the remainder of your time supporting other water and pipeline projects. This is a senior H&S role and we’re looking for someone with strong major civils experience, particularly around temporary works and rail interfaces, who is also comfortable managing and leading a safety team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
