MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG business on the search for a HSE Manager. This is a PERM role based in Somerset.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead and promote a front-line positive Health and Safety culture, with shopfloor involvement.
- Root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive measures.
- Develop systems for site risk assessments, considering how risks could be reduced and implement actions.
- Assist in outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
- Carry out joint regular HSE site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
- Make changes to working practices and procedures to ensure that they are safe and comply with legislation.
- Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies.
- To drive environmental initiatives across all areas of the business.
- To work with the Environment Agency in investigation and corrective actions to safeguard the local area.

What are we looking for?

- A sound technical background with the ability to manage tasks using a lateral, methodical approach, matched by a demonstrable flair for employee involvement.
- NEBOSH, NCRQ Diploma, or NVQ5 qualification.
- Extensive experience of environmental waste control and reduction.
- Ability to manage an energy reduction program.
- Experience preferred within a FMCG manufacturing company.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and planning skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary
- Up to £65k
