Health and Safety Framework Manager
6 Month Contract (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Be based in one of the hubs: London/Bristol/Chester/Manchester/Leeds/Halifax
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety procedures that ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety procedures and systems, aligning with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety, integrating health and safety procedures into all business aspects.
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety best practises, empowering them to prioritise safety in their daily operations.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of health and safety procedures, making informed recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Investigate incidents and accidents thoroughly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and enhance safety protocols.
- Maintain meticulous records of health and safety activities, including audits, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) to effectively manage all identified risks.
- Ensure oversight of suppliers’ health and safety approaches, conducting regular reviews and audits to confirm compliance with organisational standards and regulatory mandates.

Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a health and safety management role within the real estate sector, particularly in large organisations operating across multiple sites and housing tenures such as private rentals and shared ownership.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels effectively.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential hazards and risks proactively.
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging training programmes on health and safety procedures and best practises.
- Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
