Health & Safety Advisor Manchester (Office-Based with Site Visits) Up to £60,000 + Travel Expenses Covered
Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing, family-run business?
Our client is a well-established fit-out contractor delivering high-quality projects across the North West and beyond. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team and play a key role in driving health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, influencing positive change, and collaborating with stakeholders at every level of an organisation.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems while ensuring compliance across multiple fit-out projects.
The role will primarily be office-based in Manchester, with site visits undertaken as required to support project teams and conduct audits and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continually improve the company's management systems in line with:
- ISO 45001
- ISO 14001
- ISO 9001
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments across live fit-out projects.
- Provide practical health and safety guidance to project teams, managers and subcontractors.
- Support incident investigations and identify corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing accreditation compliance.
- Develop and deliver toolbox talks, briefings and training initiatives.
- Produce and review RAMS, policies and procedures where required.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the business through engagement and collaboration.
About You
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who enjoys working closely with people and building long-term relationships across a business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within construction, fit-out or interiors.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to health and safety.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Relevant membership with IOSH or working towards Chartered status.
- Experience within fast-paced fit-out, refurbishment or interior projects.
