Senior Health and Safety Manager
Location: London Bridge
Working Arrangement: Agile Working
Are you an experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager who has operated in a head office, real estate, construction, property, facilities management or corporate environment?
Hyde is looking for a Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead corporate health and safety across a large, complex organisation. This is a visible role where you will provide expert advice, assurance and practical guidance to senior leaders, managers and operational teams. You will help strengthen our safety culture, improve compliance, manage risk and ensure colleagues, customers, contractors and visitors remain safe across our workplaces and services.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the delivery of Hyde’s corporate health and safety framework, ensuring policies, procedures and standards are clear, practical and legally compliant.
- Provide competent health and safety advice to senior leaders, managers and teams across a complex head office and operational environment.
- Oversee audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and action tracking to provide evidence-based assurance and continuous improvement.
- Use data, reporting and trend analysis to identify risk, improve performance and support informed decision-making at committee and governance level.
- Work with internal teams, contractors and key stakeholders to improve safe working practices and strengthen accountability for health and safety.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of external standards, accreditations and assurance processes, including CHAS, RoSPA and relevant health and safety management systems.

We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience as a Health and Safety Manager, Senior Health and Safety Manager, HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager or similar in a head office, real estate, construction, property, facilities management or corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, risk management, incident investigation, audit, assurance and continuous improvement.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, presenting reports and influencing managers to take practical action.
- The ability to translate technical health and safety requirements into clear, proportionate and business-focused advice.
- A NEBOSH Diploma, equivalent Level 6 qualification or comparable professional experience, ideally supported by IOSH membership, ongoing CPD and experience of CHAS and RoSPA accreditation or assurance processes.
