Health & Safety Manager – Civil Engineering

Location: South East – Regional Site Travel
Position: Permanent
Salary: Competitive Salary + Package

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting exclusively for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support a portfolio of live civil engineering projects across the South East.
This is a predominantly site-based role, suited to someone who enjoys working closely with construction teams and being visible across live projects.

Rather than operating solely in an advisory capacity, you'll work directly with project leadership and site teams to improve standards, identify potential risks and ensure Health & Safety remains embedded within day-to-day project delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing hands-on Health & Safety support across multiple construction sites.
  • Completing site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and site teams.
  • Reviewing RAMS and other project safety documentation.
  • Identifying unsafe practices and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Supporting investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Monitoring subcontractor Health & Safety performance.
  • Supporting site safety briefings and workforce engagement.
  • Tracking actions and identifying recurring trends across projects.
  • Providing practical advice on UK construction Health & Safety requirements.
  • Helping project teams continually improve safety performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
