Job Description
About the Role
To act as deputy for the Senior Health & Safety Manager; Be responsible for providing health and safety management support to all operational sectors across the Trust and fulfil the role of a competent person in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Provide professional advice, training and leadership to staff and Managers at sector and site level. Support the maintenance of the Trust’s compliance with regulatory and statutory duties. Facilitate the development and implementation of robust health and safety strategies, delivery plans and systems within the Trust. To lead Datix incident reporting and analysis; The focus for this role will be to support the health, safety and security function, as part of the Health & Safety team by leading and promoting a positive health and safety culture in order to engender and embed proactive and robust health and safety systems across the organisation, ensuring that the organisation meets its regulatory and statutory duties relating to health, safety and welfare

Responsibilities
- Manage the Health & Safety Advisors (x3), develop PDR objectives, manage day to day work and ensure 1-2-1 meetings take place
- To develop, implement, monitor and review policies, procedures, guidance and initiatives, facilitating collaborative working, to raise awareness and foster a culture that encourages reporting, action and learning from violent and aggressive incidents
