About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Health and Safety Manager, you will lead the delivery of health and safety across Camden's Property Directorate, acting as the competent person for a diverse portfolio of services that includes repairs, maintenance, compliance and capital investment programmes worth approximately £120m each year. This is a high-profile leadership role where you will be responsible for embedding a positive health and safety culture across a workforce of around 400 employees and ensuring that health and safety remains at the heart of service delivery.

Working closely with senior leaders, managers, contractors and residents, you will provide expert advice and assurance on health and safety matters, supporting legal compliance and effective risk management across the Directorate. You will lead a specialist team, including asbestos professionals, oversee the delivery of asbestos management arrangements, and support the development of building safety plans for Camden's housing stock. You will also play a key role in monitoring performance, developing training and competency programmes, managing service budgets, and driving continuous improvement through the effective use of data, insight and best practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, shape health and safety standards across a large and varied property portfolio, and make a meaningful difference to the safety and wellbeing of Camden's residents, employees and partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
