Health and Safety Manager

Location: Greater London (East)
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits

Robert Walters is partnering with a leading logistics and distribution business to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Manager. This is a key role responsible for promoting a positive health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across a multi-site operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a positive safety culture across operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company standards.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to reduce future risks.
  • Manage contractor compliance and site permit processes.
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.
  • Support facilities and property compliance activities.
  • Work closely with operational leadership to drive continuous improvement.

About You

  • NEBOSH qualified with IOSH certification.
  • Previous Health & Safety experience within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or another operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with audits, investigations, and risk management.
  • Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused.
