Health & Safety Manager

Location: UK (National Travel Required)
Job Type: Permanent

Poolhall Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support construction projects across the UK. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, maintaining site standards, and providing practical H&S support to project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site health and safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, LOLER, PUWER, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and ISO 45001.

Requirements

  • Deliver toolbox talks and review subcontractor RAMS.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety documentation.
  • Provide practical health and safety guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Support the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Produce reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' construction experience, ideally in a health and safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, LOLER, PUWER, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and ISO 45001.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple sites.
  • Full UK driving licence.
