Health & Safety Manager

Location: Riverside/Fairham, Nottingham

Step into a role where safety, compliance, and continuous improvement are at the heart of business operations. As Health & Safety Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of health and safety standards across our GrandVision Tech Centre, ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging working environment for all colleagues.

What We're Looking For

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification (Diploma desirable)
  • Previous Health & Safety experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve health & safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Monitor and interpret health & safety legislation, ensuring legal compliance across the site
  • Manage risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and health & safety records
  • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions
  • Conduct internal audits and support external inspections and assessments
  • Deliver health & safety training and guidance to managers and colleagues
  • Oversee first aid arrangements, PPE compliance, and contractor management processes
  • Monitor waste management activities and support environmental compliance initiatives
  • Partner with Facilities teams to ensure health, safety, and statutory obligations are met
