Health & Safety Manager

Location: Brackley
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Industry: Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can take ownership of HSE across a busy manufacturing environment?

We are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Brackley who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement across their site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HSE professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with operational teams, and making a real impact on workplace safety.

The Role:

As Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of health and safety across the manufacturing facility. You will work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to develop and implement effective HSE strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of all Health & Safety activities across the site
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures
  • Conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and investigations
  • Supporting incident reporting and driving corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation
  • Delivering training and guidance to employees at all levels
  • Working with internal teams to improve safety standards and promote a positive safety culture
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation

About You:

We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety professional with experience working within a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practices
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments, audits, and investigations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to work closely with shop floor teams
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable
