Health and Safety Partner
Location: Merthyr Tydfil Borough
Salary: £40,484 to £41,215 (Appointment at the bottom of the band)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours of work: Full time – 4 Day Week

As our new Health and Safety Partner you will provide health and safety guidance, clear advice, assistance, audit and inspection to help ensure that Merthyr Valleys Homes comply with statutory requirements as well as our own Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Is this for you?
Our ideal candidate shares our mutual values and is passionate in providing a safe environment for colleagues, tenants and external stakeholders alike. For this role, you’ll need a wealth of experience within the Health and Safety sector over a variety of disciplines. You must have experience of formulating, implementing, delivering and revising H&S policies and procedures. You’ll need a thorough understanding of Health and Safety legislation and be able to write up and provide clear and effective written reports. You’ll have an understanding around the analysis and investigation process around adverse event as well as have the ability to undertake audits and inspections within individual competence.

You must be able to make decisions, problem solve, think creatively and work on own initiative.
You’ll need an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or equivalent (NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate).
