5V Tech is partnered with a UK clean-tech scale-up working in the circular economy for critical minerals. Due to their growth, they are looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to join its pilot processing site.
You will have real ownership of day-to-day safety on a live chemical processing site, with the freedom to build practical systems that work for a fast-moving business rather than copy-and-paste templates.
What you'll be working on:
- Leading day-to-day health and safety delivery on site, keeping things compliant and practical as operations scale
- Running gap analyses against regulatory standards and best practice, then putting clear corrective plans in place
- Owning COSHH management, including assessments, controls, training and monitoring
- Adapting ISO principles into simple, scalable safety systems
- Delivering training, briefings and toolbox talks, and being a visible, approachable presence on site
- Working with managers and teams across the site to build shared ownership of safety

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
