This is an opportunity to join the University Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service and support the cutting-edge teaching and research delivered by the University.

If you are enthusiastic and hold a qualification related to Health and Safety, Chemistry or Biochemistry, this could be the role for you.

We will offer you relevant training in general and chemical safety and an interesting and challenging role that really makes a difference.

Your Role

Your role will be to work with the Senior Health and Safety Specialist to advise the University on how to work safely, particularly in relation to chemical safety matters.

This role will allow you to develop a range of skills, learn and make a positive difference to the University.

About the Department

The role sits within the Health and Safety Service. The Health and Safety Service is committed to supporting the University in driving good health and safety standards, so that no one is harmed by the work undertaken at the University.

About You

  • You will have experience working within or associated with chemical laboratory environments and understanding of chemical infrastructure needs
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with a variety of stakeholders from across the University.
  • You will have a genuine interest in safety and its implementation.
